San Vincenzo is held by the people who farm it, run it, and live on it. That is the simplest way to say it. The longer way takes a paragraph.

The estate is structured as a working agricultural enterprise. The land, the four farm programs, and the buildings that house them are held by the enterprise. Owners take a share in that enterprise rather than a deed to a parcel. The share carries the right to a home on the estate, a place at the table, and a voice in how the place is run. It also carries a responsibility to the land that holds longer than any single owner.

This is not a new idea. Serious estates have been held this way for centuries, in Tuscany and elsewhere. What is uncommon is to build one from the ground up in this form, with this intent, in this part of the country.

The number of residential positions is small, finite and woven into the farm landscape. The ones that remain are being placed by conversation, not by listing. There is no brochure that tells the rest of the story. The rest of the story is told in person, once it is clear there is fit on both sides.
